Sarah Zaman organized the first-ever reference for a female artist in Pakistan, honoring Shahida Parveen. The event featured speakers such as PTV Director – Farrukh Bashir, Radio Pakistan Head, Sarwat Ali, APMC Founder – Hayat Ahmed Khan, Salima Hashmi, and other dignitaries.
A group tribute to Shahida Parveen was presented by the disciples of Ustad Chote Ghulam Ali Khan and Parvez Paras’s students, performing Kaafi in Raag Bairagi, a composition by Najam Hussain Syed set to Baba Shah Hussain’s Kalaam.
The event was aired on PTV’s Raag Rang, and included classical music. With support from Aurat Foundation, Simorgh, and LGS, the event saw a full hall, making it a significant cultural gathering.
