In 1988, at the age of 28, Sarah Zaman graced the stage of the Toronto Caravan Festival, performing for 8 out of the 10 days of this prestigious cultural event. Representing Pakistan at the Lahore Pavilion, she was part of a vibrant showcase of Lahore’s artistic heritage.
Accompanied by an ensemble of distinguished musicians from Mian Tufail Narowal on tablas, Parvez Paras Sahab on surmandal, to Ustad Muhammad Baksh on harmonium. Sarah’s performances captured the essence of classical music.
Her sister, Naila Riaz, also mesmerized audiences with her Kathak dance performances, presenting a stunning fusion of music and movement throughout the festival.
